Morpeth Bridge over the Hunter River

LeafyWoodland has been established to record the family history of John and Mary Keating who arrived in Sydney in February 1842 on the ship 'Carthaginian'. The ship left Liverpool, England on 1 October 1941. John and Mary had been living in Manchester, England. but were originally came from Ireland. They settled in Morpeth NSW, on the Hunter River east of Newcastle from about 1855 after spending time in Singleton NSW and Warialda NSW.
